Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how LumiereX ("LumiereX", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you visit lumierex.nl (the "Website"), submit a quote request, or otherwise contact us. It is written to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Dutch data protection law.

2. What data we collect

We do not knowingly collect financial account numbers, government ID numbers, or other special categories of data through the Website.

3. Why we process your data (legal basis)

• Responding to your quote request — necessary steps prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• Website analytics (GA4/GTM) — based on your consent, where required, or our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the Website (Art. 6(1)(a) or (f) GDPR).
• Replying to general enquiries — legitimate interest in providing customer support (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Legal compliance — where processing is required by Dutch or EU law (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

4. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data with the following categories of processors, strictly to operate the Website and our business:

• Hosting & e-mail delivery: Hostinger (website hosting and delivery of quote-request notifications to our inbox).
• Analytics & tag management: Google (Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager) — see Section 7 on cookies and international transfers.

Each processor is bound by a data processing agreement and may only use your data on our instructions.

5. How long we keep your data

• Quote request submissions: kept for up to 24 months from your last contact, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever is sooner.
• Analytics data (GA4): retained according to our GA4 data retention settings (currently 14 months), after which it is automatically deleted or anonymised.

6. Your rights under the GDPR

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you;
• Request correction of inaccurate data;
• Request erasure of your data ("right to be forgotten");
• Request restriction of processing;
• Object to processing based on legitimate interest;
• Request data portability;
• Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@lumierex.nl. We will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

7. Cookies & tracking

The Website uses Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies to distinguish visitors and measure how the Website is used. Some data processed by Google may be transferred to, and processed in, the United States or other countries outside the EU/EEA; Google provides this transfer under the EU-approved Standard Contractual Clauses. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse, including transmitting the Website over HTTPS and limiting access to submitted form data to authorised personnel only.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated on this page.
